Bicycle Spoke Mini Cannon

The bicycle spoke mini cannon is one of my all time favorites because it is so easy to make and play with. It does have some safety issues though, but I think that some safety glasses and a little common sense, would go along way. I actually purchased a whole child’s bike from the thrift store just so I could have a couple of spokes. This project goes back to my uncles and my father would use it to shoot at critters, lol. Anyway have fun and be safe, let me know what you think.

RepRap 3D Printer Make Your Own Plastic Parts

RepRap from Adrian Bowyer on Vimeo.

Holly crap, this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! It was love at first sight, I have got to make one of these. The great thing is that it is all open source, so that you can build one and help to make it better. I can think of about a billion things that I could make with it. I am not one who has a lot of experience with electronics but I think that I could have a friend help me with that, I know that I could put it together fairly easy it looks manageable, and it might take awhile but I could figure out the software. So tell me what you think, I would like to here your thoughts on this one. I have provided some links below to help you get started.

How to Make a simple Smoke Bomb

This is one of the best smoke bomb recipes that I have come across, mostly because of cost. It costs about 3-5 dollars depending on the cold pack that you buy and if you waste your money on a subscription to the newspaper. Any way you soak the newspaper in ammonium nitrate and water mixture, then you sun dry your newspaper, once dry you roll it up and light it, it is that easy. Note: I wouldn’t breath the smoke.  Also you will need to make sure that the cold pack that you buy contains ammonium nitrate.

The King of Slingshots

I have been watching this guys inventive ways of making slingshots. Although he does not teach you how to make them, he does give you some cool ideas for a slingshot. Take a look at his videos I bet you will enjoy them as much as I have. I may even do a how-to video based on some of his ideas.

Also here is a cool Forum about slingshots: http://slingshotforum.com/
